Polis University

Polis University is a private for-profit university located in Tirana, Albania. It offers education in architecture, urban planning, design, civil engineering, computer sciences, environmental studies and similar subjects. The study levels offered are bachelor, master, and PhD (in partnership with University of Ferrara, Italy). The founder and rector is Besnik Aliaj. We have designed a rich, but focused menu of programs and academic specialties at all 4 levels of the educational spectrum (professional, university, post-graduate), including: professional school, bachelor and master studies, as well as executive studies and doctoral. These programs are offered both full-time and extended-time, adapting to the needs of students, society and institutions.
In addition to international recognition, in the region and in the country, POLIS has meanwhile joined several European university and professional networks, and has tangible agreements and partnerships with prominent international institutions, including joint programs and projects. POLIS is the first signatory of the “Bologna Charter” in the country, and has successfully passed all tests and evaluations of legal conformity and quality. It is among the few institutions of higher education in the country that has successfully and on time completed all institutional and programmatic accreditation processes within the country, and now has accreditations at the international level. Today we have joint degrees with European universities, and a unique international doctoral program.
