Facilities
The Water Quality Laboratory focuses on providing water analysis which supports teaching and research. The laboratory is equipped with various analytical instruments, which can be used for qualitative and quantitative analyses of aqueous samples, such as wastewater, surface water or drinking water. The equipment can be divided into four different categories:
- Sample preparation:
- autoclave
- oven
- furnace
- centrifuge
- sonication bath
- filtration setup
- Solid Phase extraction manifold
-
-
Basic water quality parameters:
- Automated Potentiometric Titrator
- Particle charge analyzer
- pH-, turbidity-, conductivity meter
- Benchtop spectrophotomer by Hach
- Spectroquant®System
- Systea Easychem
- Colilert tests -
Sample analysis: advanced research purposes:
- UV-Vis spectrophotometer
